Samsung said in a statement Tuesday that the company has updated Ambient Mode, a TV screen mode designed to display various contents including artworks and daily news. Samsung's visual display business division vice president Choo Jong-suk said the tech giant plans to add more contents by collaborating with young and talented artists.
Ambient Mode's features are similar to those of the screen saver, which fills screens with moving or stationary images when a computer is not used. Samsung said the special mode will make homes a more comfortable environment.
Samsung has collaborated with world-famous artists such as Tali Lennox, a fashion model-designer, and Scholten & Baijings, an art team from the Netherlands, to provide their unique works. Other than displaying famous artworks, users can display daily news headlines, weather updates, personal photos, or play music.
