BTS debuts two songs on Billboard Hot 100 for first time

SEOUL -- Boy band BTS achieved a fresh milestone by becoming the first K-pop act to list two songs simultaneously on Billboard's weekly 100 most popular song chart.

BTS released its new seven-track album, "MAP OF THE SOUL : PERSONA", on April 12. that contained "Boy With Luv" featuring American singer-songwriter Halsey and "Make it Right" featuring British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran.

According to Billboard, a prominent American music magazine, "Boy With Luv" and "Make it Right" ranked eighth and 96th, respectively, on the weekly Hot 100 chart which ranks 100 most popular songs.

"Boy With Love" became the group's new highest-ranked song on Billboard Hot 100. "FAKE LOVE" reached the No. 10 spot soon after it was released globally in May 2018. The highest-ranked K-pop song is PSY's 2012 hit "Gangnam Style", an electro-pop dance track that stood second on Billboard's popular song chart for seven consecutive weeks from September 2012 until November.

BTS's new album hs taken the No. 1 spot on "Billboard 200". This is the third time the group took the crown in the popular album charts after "LOVE YOURSELF: TEAR" in June 2018 and "LOVE YOURSELF: ANSWER" in September 2018.
