SEOUL -- Wheein, a member of girl band MAMAMOO, has topped South Korea's major real-time song charts with "Goodbye", the title song of her solo album "Soar".

The 24-year-old, who was absent from all official MAMAMOO activities last month due to her health conditions, was welcomed by fans on Wednesday when her new solo album was released. "Goodbye" topped real-time song charts of major online music services including Melon, Genie, Bugs and Soribada.

According to RBW Entertainment, the four-member band's agency, Wheein was excluded from all band activities in August to give her some time to recuperate after she was diagnosed with high levels of anxiety and stress.

Fans praised Wheein's vocals full of emotions. "She has such a beautiful voice and beautiful visuals...a masterpiece. Whee In never fails to amaze us," said "Min Soon Hoang", a YouTube user. Another YouTuber "franceszcx" said: "I can feel her soul through her singing and it shows how she can express so much through her music."

MAMAMOO is one of South Korea's favorite girl bands, well-known for unique characteristics and strong vocal skills.
