SEOUL -- Suncheon is a city in South Jeolla Province. Located in a coastal area some 295 kilometers (183 miles) south of Seoul, it is an agricultural and industrial city with a population of about 250,000. The city is well known for its scenic spot called Suncheon Bay which is famous for a beautiful sunset.

Suncheon Bay National Garden is a beautiful photogenic place to visit during any time of the year. The garden that has multiple sections with each special theme is full of charming points and has spectacular structures suitable for taking pictures.


 
Suncheon Bay Nature Reserve

Suncheon Bay National Reserve is a wetland formed over tideland. It has the largest reed field in South Korea. The wetland is a habitat for some 500 kinds of birds, animals and plants. The Yongsan Observatory offers a beautiful panoramic view of Suncheon Bay at sunset.

Suncheon Open Film Set is one of the city's most popular tourist attractions. The set offers a trip back in time with a replica of Seoul streets of the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s. Visitors can dress up in retro school uniforms to walk the old-fashioned streets.


 
Naganeupseong Folk Village

Naganeupseong Folk Village is a fortress village that was established during the Joseon Dynasty (1392~1897). It has well-reserved fortress walls, traditional government buildings and peasants' clay houses with a straw roof. A stroll along alleyways would provide a romantic autuimn trip.


 
BREW WORKS & Cheongchun Changgo

BREW WORKS located near Suncheon Station is an old grain storage facility turned into a modern cultural complex. Its interior is adorned with classic cars and machines used in factories. Just across the street is Cheongchun Changgo, a grain storage facility that was turned into a cultural space. The two cultural spots have a number of photo zones.
