Constru's computer vision technology used for DL E&C's AI field management solution

SEOUL -- In cooperation with Constru, a computer vision and AI company in Israel, DL E&C, a builder in South Korea, has introduced a field management solution using AI-based computer vision technology and 360-degree cameras to improve the quality of construction sites and maximize the efficiency of process status management.

Constru's computer vision technology offers verifiably accurate project status for early defect detection and optimized scheduling. DL E&C would apply its solution called "D.Vision" to apartment construction sites at home during the second half of 2022 and expand the scope of applications step by step.

The 360-degree camera takes pictures of each process and stores them in the cloud, followed by automatic comparison analysis with building information modeling (BIM) information to select information that does not match the design.

BIM is an intelligent software modeling process that architects, engineers, and contractors can use to collaborate on a building's design, construction, and operation. It enables real-time collaboration between everyone involved in a construction project, leading to massive improvements in cost, safety, and efficiency.

DL E&C said its solution would help check and take action more quickly as AI replaces what people used to do one by one. The construction period can be shortened as quality management and work can be handled with minimal manpower.
