SEOUL -- Everland, a popular theme park run by Samsung C&T, a construction and engineering company, will showcase special rides and various spaces by combining features of SM Entertainment's artists such as NCT 127. By incorporating various digital technologies including augmented reality with amusement park facilities, Everland will allow users to explore SM's worldview.

Using intellectual properties of SM celebrities such as NCT 127 and aespa, many brand-new rides and spaces will be created, according to Everland on September 21. For example, bumper cars applied NCT 127's new album concept and carried each member's name. Everland created experience content that combined SM Culture Universe (SMCU), a worldview designed by SM.

Everland will also open a complex cultural space called "Midnight at Everland" on October 14, where users can buy SM celebrity-related products. "In collaboration with SM, which leads the global K-pop trend, we will deliver a new digital experience in which reality meets virtual space to visitors," said an unnamed Samsung C&T official.

NCT 127 is a nine-member band that stepped into the spotlight in 2018 when it stood at No. 86 on Billboard 200 with the group's full album titled "Regular-Irregular." aespa, a four-member girl band launched by SM in 2020, has gained global popularity for appearing in a video showing a virtual entrance ceremony at a domestic university. Each member has her own avatar.
