A former president's grandson, Chun Woo-won, referred to his grandfather as a "slaughterer." The family of Chun Doo-Hwan, ex-President of South Korea, who brutally put down a pro-democracy rebellion in 1980, has been accused of using funds from stashed assets by the former president’s grandson.
 
The grandson, Chun Woo-won, has been publishing new information about his family on social media since March 13. This information has gone viral in South Korea. "My grandfather is a butcher, I think. With COVID-19 cases steadying, South Korea will abolish the mask requirement for public transportation starting next week, the ministry stated on March 15. The lifting will start on March 20, according to Deputy Interior Minister Han Chang-seob, who made the announcement at a government COVID-19 reaction meeting. The choice was made as the daily virus count in South Korea continued to decline, hitting 11,401 cases on Tuesday.

9-yr prison terms sought for 2 Liberian officials for raping teenagers in Busan

Two Liberian government officials are accused of raping two adolescent South Korean girls while they were in the port city of Busan for an international event, and prosecutors are asking for nine-year prison sentences for them, according to reports.
 
They are accused of luring two female middle school students near Busan Station into their hotel room on the evening of September 22, 2022, and raping them. The two are in their 50s and 30s, respectively. Investigations claim that they used smartphone translation services to demand sexual activity after luring the adolescents with promises of drink and food.
