SEOUL -- K-pop girl band BLACKPINK member Jisoo's song "Flower" ranked second on two Billboard charts -- Global 200 and Global Excl. In the dance song featuring dreamy vibes, the 28-year-old portrayed the end of a relationship between two people that has left nothing but the scent of a flower.

Billboard said in a statement on April 11 that the title track of Jisoo's solo album "Me" has recorded 108.7 million streaming and 210 million downloads worldwide. This is the third-highest number of first-week streams since the launch of Billboard's global charts which rank songs based on streaming and downloads from more than 200 regions worldwide. As of April 12, the music video for Flower had some 115 million views.

More than 1.1 million copies of Me were sold between March 31 and April 6. Jisoo is the third BLACKPINK member to go solo, after Jennie with a solo album titled "SOLO" released in November 2018, Rose with "R" released in March 2021, and Lisa with "Lalisa" released in September 2021.

BLACKPINK, which debuted in 2016, is one of the most successful K-pop girl bands with more than five million album sales worldwide. The iconic girl band, which attracted about 110,000 fans at its Tokyo concerts held on April 8 and 9, has been tied up with preparations for world tours. Group members are set to hold a two-day concert in Osaka in June.
